She's badass and takes up space! A mix of easy voluminous and sleek silhouettes, plus juicy jewel tones, give instant confidence and guarantee complements. This collection is currently shoppable at AliceAlexander.co. The prints were designed in collaboration with the delightful and talented Ty FitzPatrick. Some of our coolest fabrics yet were sourced by Detective Itohan Asemota. Having learned from the previous season, we had this collection produced in 5 different places to achieve the highest quality possible for each product. This included in-house (managed by angel Abigail Stenner), in Philly, elsewhere in the US, and overseas, for a mix of small-batch ready-to-ship items, opening small-batch pre-orders directly to customers, and keeping the made-to-order model for the most expensive items.
Select Tech Pack Pages from this season's Ina Shirt, Cass Dress, and Sally Jumpsuit:
SS21: Camp Cool
We're outside! Joyful and uplifting sherbert colors are grounded by earthier hues reminiscent of scout uniforms and camping gear. These prints were the first ones by Ty, and defined the brand to be more print-driven going forward. This is the first collection designed with the brainpower of the full 4-person Product Development team <3 This was also our first collection that we had produced in small batches by outside contractors, rather than made-to-order in our Philly studio. There are some pieces left up for sale at AliceAlexander.co.
FW20: Comfy Cozy
A minimal collection of sleek loungewear that's easy to dress up. All in a super soft tencel/cotton/spandex french terry. Our customers' favorite colors to wear are black and teal, so we stuck with those. I still wear these joggers often, even as I write this.
Hand Print
Finally I got to design the first print for AA! "Hands, but abstracted to the point where you can't tell what they are" was my assignment. Lobo Mau graciously let us borrow their screen printing studio in the evenings to print rolls and rolls of yardage. We've switched to digital printing since then, for a lot of reasons, but this was a fun experience and set the playful psychedelic tone for the brand's future prints. Since this print was an experiment, the silhouettes are all updates of already beloved AA styles.
SS20: Victory Garden
The annual linen collection that was designed and launched during Quarantine. Breezy shapes to just throw on and go about your day, in a Rosie the Riveter color pallet to say "We got this!" At the time it was our most successful launch ever, and sold well without a photoshoot... just these bright flats that I did from my parents' home in Virginia, with significantly reduced hours, Zooming with Mary Alice every couple weeks, mailing muslins back and forth.

Cass Dress
I first conceptualized and patterned this dress in June 2019... she's still Alice Alexander's all-time best seller. The point is feel luxurious and sexy, and for it also be easy for the customer to choose her size: all you need is your bust measurement. Great for people whose bust, waist, and hip measurements don't match just one size in the chart (sooo many people!!). Tie the spaghetti straps where you like, and the rest literally falls into place on the bias.
Rosie Jumpsuit
We love an adjustable waist and blazer lapel! This jumpsuit stands out to me for giving us a sales boom even though it was launched as a single product in the dead of February.
